This is a casual position over the warmer months for people aged 14-17. It's a customer facing role for an outgoing and chatty person.

Weekend and evening availability required.

Prior experience not necessary if you have a helpful attitude and a good memory for learning new skills. Our junior scoopers help out at the busiest times in the shop so you'll need to be a speed demon on scooping and dishes.

We also want you to love our ice cream so you can impart that passion and deep knowledge on every flavour and product to each customer you serve.

The role includes:

• Closing shifts, with some nights until 10:30pm
• Serving customers
• Maintaining store organisation, cleaning
• Re-stocking service areas and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
• Making cones our waffle cones
• Staff discount on all of our products plus a free scoop at the end of your shift

Prior experience in a hospitality role is preferred but not necessary for applicants with an outgoing personality and an enthusiasm for customer service.

We would love to meet with an experienced pastry chef who has a passion for high quality, natural ice cream.

Casual or part-time initially, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time hours based on experience. Our preference is for someone who can work kitchen and Front of House in a hybrid role, but please let us know if this is not for you.

A minimum of 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen is required. Due to our current hiring needs, only applicants that meet this requirement can be considered. 

Wages and Salary will depend on each individual's skills, experience and qualifications. Part time hourly rate starting from Level 2 - Cook Grade 1 under the Restaurant Industry Award (MA000119) With opportunity for growth as you progress your skills and responsibility.

We're searching for an experienced manager to help guide our team and advocate for the stores in Fitzroy North and Albert Park. If you or someone you know loves high quality natural products, has sustainable values and wants to be part of our local community we'd love to chat!

We're looking for a detail focused individual who can take charge, asking for help and feeding back information unprompted.

Part time or full time available, with a minimum of 20 hours per week. We need a leader who can jump in to fill any rostering gaps that may come up on weekends, but generally you'll be working during the week alone and with others.

 Prior experience in a hospitality role is preferred but not necessary for applicants with excellent organisational skills, and an enthusiasm for customer service.

This is a customer facing and team management role for someone who is passionate about our brand ethos. Working alongside our existing team, we need your videography and editing skills to help BVC move into the age of the moving image! 

We’re looking for someone who knows and loves BVC, who can gel with our existing tone of voice while also sharing more of our human side. Our team is passionate and amazing and there’s a lot of kitchen magic behind the scenes of BVC that we’d love to show. There may not be much new under the sun but we’d like our content to give viewers a peep behind the curtain into what makes us authentically us rather than trying to jump on viral trends or mimic what other people in the food space are doing in terms of editing and voice over styles. 

Ideally you’re able to translate our current identity into an elevated but approachable video style, capturing us and our ice cream in our natural habitat. We always have something fun or delicious happening but are short on hands and time to capture and compile these moments.

Perth (WA)

We’re on the lookout for events staff to help out in Perth, WA! This role involves working at different locations with our ice cream carts. Each day working at BVC events is different - from festivals, weddings, markets, and everything in between.

This is a casual role, with potential for increased hours over summer months.

A successful applicant will take pride in providing an excellent experience for all customers by striving to represent our values (sustainability, quality, community, enjoyment/fun). 

In addition, bringing knowledge of what makes our product special, providing advice on flavours and answering dietary questions, and being generally kind and friendly to all customers is key.

More info about you and the role:

• You need to have a current drivers license and be comfortable driving a large vehicle
• Weekend availability is a must, as this role has no regular schedule, it’s truly casual! 
• Help with set up, service and pack down of events - pushing a cart up to 150kg
• Work efficiently and confidence in working alone 
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve on the job 
• Attention to detail in order to keep the event setup looking tidy and clean
